Somewhere along the way, parents (and athletes) got lost and started guessing what they actually need to do to help their kids follow their volleyball dreams. I’ve heard some version of, “I want to help them play post-secondary, but I have no idea where to start,” more times than I can count. And when everyone else seems to be going to every ID camp, showcase and high-performance opportunity, it’s hard not to wonder if your athlete is falling behind.

The good news? They don’t need to do it all.

We’ll talk about what actually matters when it comes to development, exposure and recruiting — including how and when to contact university coaches, what they actually want to see, and how to navigate the process without constantly feeling behind. I’ll also break down the different post-secondary pathways in Canada and the U.S., and help make sense of what comes next.
